I'm sure there are several threads here about 2010 MBA and Lion. However, I think any type of Air starting from ultimate 11" and above won't have any issues running it (at least major). So this thread is about peeps who'd really have a reason to worry because the basic Air may not be too up to the task.

Personally, I am quite happy with Snow Leopard and if the performance is in any way afffected by Lion, I'm sticking with the original.

I think it is already common knowledge that the basic air can handle lion excellently. We live in an age now where new OS's run faster on older hardware, not slower.

Ok flawlessly in "any kind of situation" where the SL was impressing.

Like when I am having 3-4 safari windows (not tabs), iTunes open, installing Office 11, unraring, etc all in the same time with no sort of lag. Some tough enough stress tests to put it short. I don't do any gaming but I hope that on daily tasks it will be fine.

And about that "2010 machine" thing, keep it mind it's the cheapest mac right now ;)

It'd be pretty embarrassing if the Air didn't run Lion flawlessly considering all of their shots of the OS are running on it.

Given that all the promo for Lion so far shows it on a 11" & 13" macbook air's - I think you can rest assured.

True. This is the one reason that I think Apple will go out of their way to make sure that Lion runs well on the base 11" air.

Seeing as how Lion is slated to come out this summer, and Apple normally updates their machines around once per year or longer, the current Airs are probably going to be shipping with Lion at some point. I'm sure that it will run fine.
