I was watching video reviews on YouTube and was leaning towards the 11" before...and this definitely reconfirms what I want.

Does anyone have this problem with the 13"?

That must suck for the viewing to never be "correct" and slight movements throwing everything out of whack.

Might not be the case with the newer models, remember.

Also, I went to the apple store today and tried the 11 and 13, and the 11 feels incredibly small. It's made me reconsider whether to buy the 11 to be honest. I think the 13 may be the better bet, the 11 is undoubtedly lighter and more portable, but I'm probably going to be going with a 13 after having tried them both.

That's what people said about the iMac's yellowing screen issues in '09...and let's just say I had to exchange a brand new '11 for yellowing issues...I don't think it will be addressed aka. fixed in this revision.

Yeah I really need to go to the store and mess around with this thing since I've been comparing videos...but like I said earlier, I have an iMac for all my basic computing needs...almost went iPad but it's iOS...so the 11" has a larger screen than an iPad, runs OS, new Lion fullscreen feature should help with smaller screen, and the 11" will be more portable/save you some $$$.

My 2011 iMac is perfect. I owned a 2009 and 2010, both suffered from it, but my 2011 is yellow free!

The Macbook Airs are using TN-Panels so the viewangle is much more limited than the panels from MBP and Macs, I think Apple choosed to build in Led TN-Panels because they need less energy than IPS-Panels. I have played arround with a 13" and 11" and the limited viewangle don't bother me much...

you can see how much better IPS is in this video

I'm in the same decision which one to get, I also have a workstation at home and would use it as a secondary computer. My heart say get the 11" because I know how much fun the ultra-portability can be, then my mind comes in and say get the 13" because you can better work on it...
I think I will go with the 11" because the 13" just looses the fun factor because of the size and act more like a normal notebook, just thinner...

If you were originally going to get an iPad, you should be satisfied with 11" MBA since it has a full OS.

I am so happy you watched Erik Lanigan's video.

You've got to take a picture with the grey bar test and post it in the iMac thread. I have yet to see a perfect screen! But if you do congrats.

My 2nd one has minor yellowing. But it's WAY better than the first one I had.

That thread has always been full of paranoid maniacs. It's turned people who were perfectly happy with their computer into nutters who've exchanged 4 or 5 and never been happy with any of them. I decided when I got this that it wasn't worth a tapplox test. I've got AppleCare, if a problem arises, I'll take it back. Until then, I'm perfectly happy!

Yeah...I actually noticed it in my first one (before I knew it was a problem) and looked up "Imac Yellow" and found that thread. I was a little OCD the first week...but I'm content now.
