MBA 2012 - Yosemite update or not?

hey Folks i have 2012 MBA 13inch
should i update to the latest OS or just stay on older version of mac osx
i was wondering whether it will slow down my system - also can i go back to older version of osx

I've just updated. It's actually faster and safari is BLAZING fast. battery life is meh, but it's still downloading my mail and iCloud stuff etc (clean install). On 100% mavericks estimated 7.25 hours, yosemite says 5, but then again, it's still doing stuff and not idle, so i'll see... I made a time machine backup so i can go back in an hour, but i love it.

You're only going to get benefits with Yosemite, especially on the Air.

If you're comfortable with doing so, I'd do a clean install just in case, but even still an upgrade should be just fine.

Mid 2012 MBA, 256GB SSD, I did the upgrade. Its ok.

sounds like some folks experience less battery life? How about the display? does everything look nice on the non-retina display?
