Hey guys,
I just had a very quick question. I just noticed when I was uploaded my previous i-Tunes library to my MBA that the MBA itself started with about 56 to 60gig of hard drive space. Is this correct? I bought a 1.8ghz w/ 80gig HDD. Given I didn't splurge for the SSD but is this right?

Thanks

No, although I didn't purchase any extra. Even though it does of course come with the usual stuff contained in iLife '08 and garage band.

Well, the HDD itself-- completely wiped, is still only 74GBs or so.

Take into account a hefty OS (mebbe 1GB just for supported languages) with lotsa apps (Garageband's loops are about 3GB) and built-in drivers (printer drivers take up a ton of space, too)... It easily drops the starting storage from 74GBs down to 60GB or less.

'S why I did a clean install. :) I know I never use iLife apps (short of iTunes), languages, and I just DL whichever printer driver I need.

Okay, that makes more sense now. Thank-you very much. I might just make a clean install and free up some space if I feel it necessary. Thanks again.:D
