Hi All,

I am planning to buy a new 13" MBA and get it upgraded to 4GB RAM. I am just wondering if i buy the MBA online (as it is a BTO) can i get it delivered to a store and collect it from there rather than my home or office (as i travel a lot). By the way i live in UK.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I don't believe so. You'll need to have it delivered to your location.

And the credit card people get upset if you try to ship something to other than your billing location.

Apple doesn't want the hassle of trying to deal with custom built machines arriving at an Apple store to be picked up.

Not true. I do this all the time.

I've always had to give the address via phone first to the credit card people. I keep 3 addresses on my records. Maybe it's just some companies that are more picky about it. Logically, the credit card people should be concerned if you are shipping to an address they don't have on file - the card could be stolen and someone is trying to ship something to their address.

Ya, it depends on the the reseller. I've shipped to alternate addresses with Amazon, B&H, and others.
