I can see that the MBA is getting better and better. It is also making me wonder if I should replace my 2.4 Blackbook. My main question is this: Does the 256GB SSD that is available in the MBP models fit in the MBA? (If I bought an MBA, I would need more space than 120 or 128GB) Also, Apple should make a BTO option of 4GB RAM, or, better yet, make 4GB standard. I do not need to connect my Apple Portables to a display, so could the Mini-DisplayPort be replaced by a USB port or an FW800 (or 400) port? Is the 2.13 MBA more powerful than the 2.4 BlackBook?

Sorry, but the HD in the MBA is not replaceable. Your stuck with either the 120GB HDD or the 128GB SSD.

I think within six months we will see a new "high-end" MBA with 4 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD. Lots of discussion on the board before about the SSD tech just not being ready. In fact, I think the new high end 2.13 GHz with 128 SSD will be the low end model. At that time, I predict the prices will be closer to $1799 and $2499 again. That's my guess.

I use mine as my primary Mac. It's really nice. Plenty fast with 2.13 and SSD! Does need 4 GB RAM for some to make it their primary Mac. And people have to get used to remote storage of entertainment and software data.
