That's another way of doing it if it will let you downgrade like that, but it's now better to get into the habit of manually reformatting your hard drive, because from now on from the looks of it, that is what you will have to do - there's no "Erase and Install" feature in Snow Leopard, meaning there likely will never be one again in future updates.
