MBA Issues at the Apple Store?

Hi everyone!

I'm just wondering... (sorry for pointless questions! )

Have you ever gone to the Apple store to try out an MBA... and had it do a core shutdown on you, or froze up?

I wanted to go this weekend just to play around with it. I wanted to test what this little amazing laptop can do.

Say if I was running... Youtube, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and some more applications... will it have a shutdown or lockup on me?

Haha... has any of this happened to you in the Apple Store with an MBA?

I've never had a MBA experience a performance drop in an Apple store. I'd imagine you'd be fine with everything you mention on a MBA.

Never had that experience that you describe in the store or while using my own MBA. I guess I've been lucky, b/c I've only had the heat issues, but currently my MBA runs about 73 degrees - 124 degrees on average.

Never seen a MBA in my local store that actually has wireless setup and working. Probably why they've only sold 2 of them this month.

The two I played w. at an Apple Store never had a core shutdown and neither has mine in real life since Feb. Luck of the draw I guess. 1.6 - 80.

I've never experienced any of the problems you described with my MBA or one in store. I've been to two stores and they both had wireless setup and all was working great.
I actually took my MBA into the sydney shop and got a genius to look it over and check my wireless system. I had to wait for about 10 mins and he asked me to open and use lots of applications but had no trouble. All worked great.

i've had mine since june, no core shutdown issues. all is well.

With the patch out now.. I'd say it would hard to get one to lock up

Few months ago I went to Apple store and taxed MBA to the full : two instances of "yes > /dev/null" + few tabs with youtube videos playing.
+ done some browsing while letting it succumb to pressure.
I was really sorry for the machine, but failed to lock it up

Lol...

I went this weekend to test it out since I was running around in the mall.

Went in the Apple store, and tried out what I could do.

I ran Word, Excel, Mail, iCal, Safari with Youtube, and some other stuff....

Couldn't lock it up no matter how hard I tried.

I feel sorry for those, however, who experience core shutdowns and lockups.
