Apologies if this has been discussed at length, but I was wondering how much of an adjustment it is to switch from a MBP keyboard to the MBA keyboard. I recently took a friend's 2010 MBA 13in for a spin and found the the typing experience to be considerably different. I found I needed to press the keys substantially harder.

Just curious what the adjustment period is like- I assume I would get used to it rather quickly?

Thanks!

With the exception of the back-lit keys on the MBP, I have literally compared the two side by side and didn't really notice a difference. Maybe the MBA feels different to you because it has less of a key depth.

Maybe a case of differrent usage rates/patterns? All keyboards are going to loosen up a bit with use. I would definitely figure out what the age is and if one person types significantly harder than the other before making a comparison. Just my 2 cents.

I'm just guessing the OP was using the pre-chicklet MBP. I'd have to say that was the best keyboard out of any Macs I've had.
