On my mba's lcd, i noticed that under a white background the lower left and right corner areas lighting are darker than other parts on the screen. It's like a greyish-black color . Is that normal?

Pictures? While no LCD is perfect, a certain amount of unevenness is normal. I'd have to see a picture. Chances are, if you notice it, it's a problem. I don't notice any anomalies on my display.

I don't have the mba with me right now...but i'll upload a pic as soon as I can.

By the way, can u elaborate on what you mean by unevenness? would u mind uploading of your mba's display so that I could see what's considered normal?

My mba's lcd problem looks exactly like this one except the darker greyish-black color are present on both left and right bottom corners, very very obviously under white background.

Is that normal? or should I exchange?

I've gone through 3 Air's and all had some sort of that... All about the same.

The darker corners on my mba's lcd both cover an area the size of 2thumbs put together on each side.
Were your 3 mba's lcd darker corners that large?

My mba has the same problem but it's really really light and I can live with it.

I've had three MBAs and they al have a little of that. If you look very carefully on a white background, you'll see that there are darker/lighter patches everywhere, but it's so subtle that you'd never notice unless you really look carefully. I've seen better displays in other laptops, but I've seen many that are worse too.

As the darkened spots in the corners are xtremely obvious & visible, you think that it warrants for an exchange then?

I think only you can determine that. If you feel that you're seeing it all the time in ordinary usage, I'd say yes, go try to exchange it. If it's something that you notice only very occasionally, then I'd try to accept it. But you paid all that money, so you should demand what you feel makes you happy. I'm inclined to say that you should get it replaced, out of principle.

Good luck!

Rather than asking the same question over and over why don't you just take the thing to the apple store and ask them? They are far more qualified to give you an answer than 99.9% of the people on here...

And you still haven't provided a picture of YOUR machine.
