What quality are you referring to? The image quality or something else?
What software player and which exact/specific version do you play those highly compressed videos with?
Have you tried those videos with Windows and confirmed the better "quality"?

What exact MBA and Mac OS X version do you have?

A more descriptive and precise thread title will help cater to the right audience and get you more responses. (see rule #3 under Minor Problems)
To edit your thread title, just click on the

Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?

Btw, no need to use [B] tags for the complete post, the normal, non-bolded text is just fine to read too.

My MBA model is - Apple MacBook Air - Core 2 Duo 1.86 GHz - 13.3″ - 2 GB Ram - 120 GB HDD

um using the Mac OS X Snow Leopard latest version, updated few wks back, forgot the actual version :s.. by quality i meant to say, say um playing a movie on my macbook, it wont be that much clear, it'd a lil' bit pixelated, not smooth, whereas the same movie file plays absolutely superb on windows laptop :(.. um using vlc player to watch movies on mba and other players like quicktime or divxplayer would give the same pixelated type of video quality :(.. actually the smooth and crystal clear video quality i used to get on my windows laptop, um not getting the same quality on my mba :(.. wat to do?
