MBA - Problems - ADVICE = Rep <3

Hey guys,

I have a few problems with my MBA..

1. Bit of a wait after opening the lid sometimes where the screen is frozen

2. Screen stays black sometimes when i open the lid, i either close the lid and open it again hoping that resolves it - i can see the display behind the blackness so its just VERY VERY VERY Dimm

3. sometimes the apple logo which illuminates when the screen is on changes round... sometimes the Apple Logo will illuminate with the screen when the lid is closed.. and it will turn off wen the screen is opened.

Will try and contact apple about this to look at it under warranty

however one major holdback.. i dropped my mac when i was walking down the hallway once - no major cracks or damages except some of the aluminium paint has been chipped off the top right hand corner/edge of the screen part of the mac - and the metal is a little bent.. this is not the effect of the problems as they weren't noticed back then..

This sounds like the behavior I experience on my Macbook Pro when the screen is set to the dimmest?

Regardless of if the screen is opened or closed, does the logo illiuminate when the screen is on?

I have also noticed that if I open and close my MacBook's lid quickly it confused if it should be asleep or not. Does this sound like what you are experiencing?

well, its exactly the same as the setting when the brightness is set to 0 however i didnt set it to that when i closed the lid.. it just happens to be like it sometimes when i open the lid.. after another close and open sometimes it resolves..


yes, the logo illuminates when the screen is on. and yes that does sound like what mine is experiencing.. when you pay a premium price bracket for your equipment, this really shouldn't be happening..

Normal. When the MBA is in deep sleep (more than 1 hour with the lid closed), it will take about 5-6 seconds to start back up.
