Has anyone had problems with MBA restarting when left open?

I had my first replaced for this reason and thought it might be a battery fault after reading blogs and ensuring my software was up to date.

When on power adapter I have set it to never switch off. Nevertheless it restarts if left untouched whilst downloading or watching apple TV which of course is unacceptable. When this happens all apps are closed down and not restarted (unless configured to open as part of a startup).

I am now tempted to take the second one back on the 1 mth warranty and perhaps get my money back as i am not paying $2000 for a laptop that does this. I have the top spec one (13inch/2.13ghz/4gb/256gb flash) and expect more of this.

Any similar experiences?
Should i replace with a Pro?
Thoughts?

Thanks

Have you actually seen it restarting, or do you just come back to it and find the login screen?

I guess I havent seen it as such as screen is blacked out at the time and suddenly lights up with the login screen. I assume that logging in and all apps restarting as per login settings means it restarts.....

Not sure I understand the problem.

You leave the computer for a period of time, and when you come back, you have to log in? As in you have been completely logged out?

Check your Security panel in System Preferences. Energy Saver will configure display and computer sleep settings, but Security will trump these with an option to log out after xx minutes of inactivity.
