What do you guys think of pairing up the Rev C with the 27" LED Display that came out today? I have a 24" right now, but considering an upgrade.

MBA specs say it can support up to 2560x1600 external display (which is old Apple 30" ACD). So in theory it should work with the 27" 2560x1440. I am just wondering if NVIDIA 9400M has the power to drive the resolution this high?

One of our designers uses his MBA with a 30in display while in office, and he has no complaints beyond the usual (2GB means major suckage for doing Photoshop).

BTW: Many people consider the MBA to be underpowered, because its specs are a couple of years behind. However, we are running pretty much the same stuff on it as we did two years ago. So we are relatively unhappy, but might still be absolutely ok.

The new monitor's Mag-Safe cord...

in that bundle of 3 cords comong out from behind.... I didn't see any mention of which MagSafe power cord.

The Air alone has a slightly smaller plug at the end of it's power cord. I assume today's photo shows a power cord that fits the MB & MBp.

Will they offer the monitor with whichever power cord you need? I've never heard of an adapter from big Mag-Safe to small one. Do Air owners buy a separate cord, to get that bundling effect? Or is the power cord in that picture supposed to be the one that came with the laptop?

Future: "Mag-safe" feature for all the cords. Or a single all-in-one mag-safe cord.

When Apple says "available in August" or "available in September", in today's press releases, what does that mean? First of the month? No later than last day of the month?

I believe that the connector interface is actually the same. Older MBPs used a straight-in connector, while the MBA used an angled connector in order to provide clearance from the desk surface. However, the connecting mating surfaces were the same. Now, I believe they all use the angled connector. The display connector is angled.
