It seems like I can get it for about half the price via eBay from the USA compared to what it would cost here at the Apple Store, all from highly rated sellers. Does anybody know with absolute certainty that an American AppleCare MacBook/MBA Applecare package will work with MBAs bought and registered in the UK?

I can say, with absolute certainty, that MacBook / McBook Air AppleCare bought in the US (or via eBay from a US seller), will work on a UK registered MacBook Air.

I just bought one yesterday, for a US bought, though Irish registered, BlackBook - registered it this morning without a problem. I bought from memorymate (480sherry was also an option I looked at).

Applecare purchased in other country for US MBP

I have a New MBP and was going to purchase applecare in the United kingdom. Can I register this since my MBP was purchased in the USA? Will I have the full global warranty available in all countries?

I would agree, from what I understand. However, if you want to be sure, just phone Apple Care and ask them. That's what I've done with hypotheticals like this in the past. Sometimes you get someone on the other end who is incapable of functioning without a machine serial number no matter how conditional/general you make the question, but more often than not they are helpful!
