Ok, so I am looking at getting a Vaja sleeve, and wanted to see if anyone else has one, and see what they think? I have looked around via Google to try and find a review, but can't find one. I am looking at this sleeve.

Here is a picture of the case, as I can't link to the product on Vaja's site. I am looking at the red and yellow one.

There website.

SO I guess I am trying to find out if it is worth the extra cash. Not to mention the month is takes to make it...

I haven't had any experience with this sleeve, but I have been using one of their iPod classic cases for a couple of years now, and my girlfriend has been usng one even longer on an iRiver MP3 player.

Vaja is extremely expensive i.m.o., but on both our cases the leather has stayed extremely beautiful, there is hardly any wear (my gf uses her plyer about 3~4 times a week, on her 1-hour trip tp work), and the workmanship is top notch.

So, you kinda get what you pay for. I have a feeling that with most other manufacturers you can get about 90% of the quality for about 50% of the cost. Those extra 10% sure do look nice though ;)

Having said all this; I looked at their sleeves for the incoming MBA (delivery scheduled today \o/) and decided not to get one. Recession has hit here as well...

But they do look good. ;) Still I would choose something else, because there are other handcrafted leather cases/sleeves that are just as beautiful AND less expensive. (My opinion :))

Vaja products look good online. They are crap.

I ordered an exclusive leather case for my 3GS back then, it looked beautiful online. Arrived here, never used it. The leather looks cheap and the overall quality wasn't up to expectations, given I paid $120 or so for it.

Very sleek bag/sleeve there Corax. I wonder if they have a 11.6 version.

That's a great looking bag! One question though: Is the backside shiny and the front not? (Appears that way in the pics)

Corax,

Thanks for the pictures. I am wondering about the glossy look to it. Did you ask for that? Or is it what there product looks like? The reason I ask is that I am looking to get something that isn't gloss like that. I like the more matt finish.

Thanks for the pics too!

I just emailed Vaja to find out if the 'new' cases for the 2010 13" Air they have on their website are at all different from the ones for the old Air, as the dimensions they list are identical! I was wondering if that would mean the new model might be a little loose in the case... Will let you know if I get an answer back!

Orpheus - when your case arrives, could you let us know how the Air fits in it, what the dimensions are (so I can check if its the exact same case as the one for the old Air that they sell), and if possible, show some pics so we can drool over it?! My Air is now on the way, coming with a cheap 'InCase' case as a temporary measure until I decide which exact Vaja to spring for (probably the new Airs classic retro slim in chocolate brown and black but there are so many options!). Thanks!

From these guys here is where he got it from.

It looks like a custom case from them though, as I don't see that one. There is one like it in the old MBA section.

That case posted above is from the following site.

Not in English however:

Agreed. I had exactly the same experience with a BlackBerry case I ordered from them.

Mine is in transit. Will arrive on the 3rd December. Will post impression when I receive it.

Have you received the case from Vaja yet? I'm thinking of ordering the same one you have & would like to hear your impressions on it.. What color combo did you get?

Echo that - Orpheus, did your case arrive, have you pics, are you happy with it? Still trying to decide if spending that much money on a case on top of the MBA is worth it or if I will stick just to the 15€ incase I bought as a stopgap, which I prefer to any of the other cases I've had for Powerbooks, macbooks etc...
