Is the keyboard and trackpad the same on the MBA as it is the MBP 14"?

If they’re different, howso?

No.
MBP 14” has bigger trackpad and full size function keys, but these are not the only differences
I was in store playing with them both today, and they felt different - MBP seemed to feel “softer” and more responsive - but I thought it might have just been me giving myself another excuse to get the the MBP over the MBA ?

I have had both, so got a pro on launch sold it as I couldn't justify the cost went back to an Air and within the week bought another pro as the keyboard is that much better imho,

I'm surprised it's not mentioned more in reviews and once you have used both the screen is the icing on the cake

I picked up a base model air in hopes that I could curb the appetite for the MBP 14” because I couldn’t justify the cost.

The laptop itself is not bad but I don’t like the keyboard - it feels mechanical, the trackpad is ok. The MBP one is smooth and effortless, trackpad very responsive as well - not to mention all the other upgrades. I think I'm going to be following your footsteps @Acorn19 - biting the bullet and ordering the Pro

We have both a 14MBP and a MBA. The keys feel shallower on the MBP, I actually prefer the air, but that may be because I've had it longer. I make more errors on the MBP.
