Hi all

I have my new Air connected up to my 23 inch display and the audio to some very good Eclipse 307II speakers. This is the same set up I have used before with G5 Tower

Originally this system was totally silent, now with the MBA I get soft clicks and pops through the speakers on an intermittent & random basis. Can't match to any machine activity

Disconect Audio Lead and all is silent - Reconnect MBA and pop away we go

Not critical but damned annoying

ANYONE else have this problem? extensive Googling no help

Cheers, Robert.

I have been facing this too, but specifically in Windows, and more so when I'm using my touchpad. And for some reason my display has artifacts while playing video's when my using my touchpad as well, another issue is the firefox in Windows crashing every once in a while, if I use my touchpad extensively, I googled too, but couldn't find anything relevant.

Anyone else facing such issues?

Hi Robert!

I have the same exact problem as you, so you are not alone!
However, I have a Rev. B with HDD.

I went the the Genius Bar for my cousin's iBook to get something fixed with Safari. I asked the girl the question about the "speaker pop"

She told me that I should bring my MBA in because apparently, she said it was some kind of electrical surge in the speakers that are not a good thing. She said if I was still under warantee (bought the MBA in Dec) then she said that they'd take care of it.

It won't hurt to make a Genius Bar appointment if there is an Apple store in your area.
The popping and snapping isn't a big deal to me, but it can be annoying. I'm going to have it checked out soon.

Good luck!
