Going by the blog at http://www.fluentfactory.com there is a problem with Apple's servers. Therefore the app cannot get a subscription link to Apple's servers and therefore the normal pop up to enable push for the app does not display. This will only be rectified when apple sort out their end.

Pretty confident the notifications servers can’t find the application id and are ignoring our notification subscription requests, which would fix itself once the apple servers are back on track.

After originally pinning the blame on Apple and their servers unfortunately there has been a problem with the developers submission and an emergency update has been sent to Apple to correct the push notification problem. Hence the removal from the store too.

Ok just got out of a meeting discussing this Push issue. Unfortunately I come bearing more bad news. I know we said the issue has to be with Apple servers. Seems the issue lies in how our distribution profiles are configured, something we can’t test until we actually release the product. Notification servers are not allowing our app to subscribe until this is fixed. Some jailbroken phones however seem to have no issue getting past this, as we are seeing some push messages going out to certain users.

*We’ve pulled the app from the store for now and have resubmitted an emergency patch to Apple* (they generally get that live within the same business day).

Many apologies from everyone here. This is rather inexcusable on both our part and Apple’s. Says a lot about how flawed the app distribution model is – especially when elements that only Apple can test make it through testing and are never called out. Seems to me if they are not going to really do any testing because they can’t keep up with demand, they should give developers more access and control to make sure things like this don’t make it to a public release.

We’ll post updates as we get them.

Thank you for using mBox Mail.

I am sorry that the update is not working properly for you.

We are in the process of submitting mBox Mail v3.0.1 to the AHpp Store that will provide the fix, and enable push notifications.

We are asking Apple to expedite its approval, so it will be available to you as soon as possible.

Thank you again,
