Hey all,

what exactly can be done about a MBP that's really REALLY hot? Is there even anything that CAN be done? The bottom of the thing is practically scorching my legs sometimes!

Thanks!

Close applications you don't use.
You might wanna put it on a cool-pad or an iCurve. These elevate it, making it easier to cool the system.;)

First of all, it's not really meant to be used on your lap....thats why Apple refers to their mobile line as "Notebooks" instead of "laptop."

Second, my MBP gets quite hot as well (although I use it on my desks at home & work). To cool it a little, I bought the Spire Pacific Breeze cooler:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834996501

cheap, brings the average temperature under heavy CPU load down by around 10-15 deg. Celsius.

Haven't tried other coolers, but I'm sure a quick search of the forums will give you plenty of other ideas.
