I'm debating between a 14" and 16" MBP. While looking at websites at the Apple Store I noticed that the text appears to be the same size on both screens. On sites like CNN, Macrumors,ESPN, New York Times etc. there are wider blank margins on the 16" which effectively makes the actual website text the same size. The one difference is since the 16" has a taller screen, so you end up with a few more lines of text. Is this normal. Thanks.

Most sensibly designed websites out there limit the max width and are built to scale to different size devices but rarely if ever account for anything larger than a typical laptop screen. The max width pretty much determines how things are sized within it.

The larger screen size becomes more useful when you try to put e.g two websites side by side, two apps side by side and so on.

That makes sense. I rarely have two side by side but currently have a 2014 15".
