I've a MBP 16 and an external monitor Dell U3415W. The monitor is connected through HDMI to the MBP by a USB-C hub (not the Apple one), and I use it in clamshell mode (thus only the external monitor is active, while the lid of the MBP is closed).
I have the following problem: if the MBP goes to sleep in clamshell mode with the monitor connected, it does not wake up anymore. I need to disconnect the monitor and to force close the MBP (by pressing and holding the touch id button for like 10 seconds) to make it working again.
Has this problem occurred to anyone else? I'd like to understand whether the problem is related to the USB-C hub or neither; in that case, I could buy the original one.
