Hi all,

Could the proud owners of the new MBP 16" please post here the CPU temperatures they get during various usage scenarios ?
Like cold boot, idle, Office work, Excel crunching, VM start, VM updates, Dev, Video editing (timeline, encoding), Lightroom imports, Photoshop filters, etc. I'm trying to assess if the new airflow is actually making a difference in real usage.
You can use MacFanControl for free to get the temperature of the CPU PECI sensor at https://www.crystalidea.com/macs-fan-control. Don't know if it works with the 16" but I don't see why not.
I'll get my 2.4 on Thursday but it's always good to share and compare 😃.

Thanks all!

My Base 16" is cool even under stress, just like my Base 15" 2017, BUT it gets hot when I connect external monitors, especially with custom high resolution.

Some people say that it works fine external monitors, so I think it's my cable setup that messes things up. Here is the thread:

MacFanControl works great on the 16"! 😍
