hi everyone,
this is my first post on this board and hope that I did not miss a similar entry.
Today my MBP's battery suddenly grew about 1 cm in thickness and lifted my MBP up gently. I only noticed this when typing led to some swinging motion that is not usual for my MBP. I lifted the laptop and saw the bulge on my battery. You can see a picture of my battery after its removal here:

I was aware of problems with batteries of the older powerbooks but never heard of this problem on MBP, the guy at apples service hotline apparently knew of none either. Well the new battery should be here in a couple of days, hopefully not with the same problem.

same exact thing happened to mine. I don't know what caused it. Just call them and tell them what happened to the battery. They will just send you a new one.
