I've been calling around all of my local Apple Stores and I'm getting two different answers:

1. 17" should be coming in this weekend.
2. 17" won't be coming in for another week at the earliest.

I know the 17" shipping dates are listed as 7-10 days online and Apple Stores have slowly been getting 15" MBPs since yesterday...

I went into an Apple store in Dublin and the guy said two weeks to me...

Okay, I just called an Apple Store and they said they received two 17's last night but sold out quickly.

I might have a chance!

Which store? Only one store in the DC area seems to have received any macbook pros at this point and they were all 2.16 units. Considering how many stores, thats really low in terms of units being received.

My home theater pc died last night, and my thinkpad just died about 10 minutes ago. I think it is a sign, either that or I am cursed. Using my mac mini now...

Its not a curse, its just Windows (which in itself is a curse  ).

The store here in Nashville doesn't have any of the MBP C2D yet. I called the store in Memphis. They have both 15" models, but not the 17" model. Since the ship dates for anyone ordering the 17" models of the web site are a couple of weeks in the future, I doubt if the retail stores will get them any sooner than that.

Way up here

The CompUSA up here in Anchorage, AK said 1 week for the 15" and 2 weeks for the 17"..."but we have really good deals on the current ones"

I'll be replacing my iMac Rev C with 384MB RAM 60GB HDD and OS X 10.2.4. I hope I see a little bit of a speed increase...

I ordered a 17" the day after they came out and the Apple sales rep said it would take 4 days for order processing followed by 5 days shipping from China. So that would have been 9 days ...however my online status says delivery is due on 15 November. That is 3 weeks from my date of order!

...I figure I've waited this long, I can wait a bit longer!

I think the person I spoke to was misinformed...the only MBP's around town are the 15's and they're all saying "check back next week."
