MBP 2018 2.9GHz i9 screwy after 12.3.1 update

Is anyone else experiencing issues with MBP after 12.3.1 update?

Fans are going consistently for no apparent reason.
Bluetooth connection to set of active speakers gets jittery. Never did this before.
WindowServer seems to be hogging the CPU. Almost constantly 30%+

If you haven't tried it, restart in safe mode. Updates can be squirrelly.

Just a quick follow up. Yep I tried safe mode and sat back while WindowServer kicks off again.

Worried something malicious is going on. I’ll run clam av. clean caches etc see if it helps. I’ll also try a new user.

I haven't had any more trouble with memory leaks such as with WindowServer since the 12.3.1, but I have an M1.

30% represents 30% of one core, so not as much as it may seem. WindowServer is over 30% for me right now, but that's not a problem. Check the Memory tab in Activity Monitor too, to see if WindowServer is taking up a lot of extra resources (over 1GB).

So I cleaned out cache and it seems to have stabilised. Fans stopped anyway. WindowServer at around 10-20% and about 445mb memory. See how it goes when working on it tomorrow.
