Hi, so I was wondering if I should buy the pro in the refurbished store or an air brand new? The price is basically the same. I am a uni student and I need it for assignments and watching videos, but not much else.
My main concern is:
--> Air with the faulty heating design
-->Pro with the butterfly keyboard, which I know can be faulty but have also heard they get an extra 3 yr warrantee so I'm not sure if it's such a bad thing?
--> I have heard refurbished items can last longer so that was also a positive for the Pro.
Any thoughts? I currently have a Macbook Pro 2015 which I bought brand new and had a lot of problems with, so I am very careful in making a choice this time round
Thank you

Unless your assignments are CAD heavy or big graphic editing, writing assignments and watching videos aren’t likely to push your machine into heating stress situations. On the other hand, a screwed up keyboard is pretty much going to stop the show no matter what you do. So with that reasoning, I would recommend going for the 2020 MBA.
