MBP & 30 inch HD Display

I have a MBP with the dual link DVI 128 mb video card. I know Apple states that this will run the display, but I am concerned about choppy movies and programs such as Google Earth. Is anyone running this configuration and having good preformance?
 
i dont know if this will translate to your setup, i wish i had a 30" to run though! im running a 20" flat widescreen with my Black Macbook, and have had no choppiness with DV editing, playback, playback of movies, Google Earth, everything is butter, Id wager with your MBP youd be fine.
