MBP Acting Weird

Yep, definitely a virus. Here is what you do. Turn off the MBP, pack it back up in the box, send the MBP to me. I'll take care of it.

In all honesty, we're going to need more information than what you provided. Like what is iTunes doing (nothing? playing a song? playing a movie?), what sort of plug-ins for QuickTime do you have installed, what other hacks have you done that might affect the system? Whens the last time you did a permission repair?
sometimes my MBP really slows down and heats up, so i look at the activity monitor and iTunes is taking up 95% of the CPU... could I have a virus... wtf?
Is it using lots of RAM too? or just CPU? Itunes on my iMac has a memory leak somewhere with the coverflow view. You might try switching back to classic view(if you aren't already) and see if the problem still persists. If you are on a large network and share your library, you might see how many people are connected to you...Otherwise I don't know what to tell ya. Good luck!
i think it was equalling the sound for all the songs... would this do it? now my volume is ****ed up?.... its been slowing down like this every so often though and there is usually nothing wrong with the activity monitor... like nothing out of the ordinary... first thing ive seen yet... slows down when i am typing for some time
As in you have "Sound Check" enabled? I have never ran with it enabled. If in fact that is what you are talking about. Your volume is messed up now that you turned it off? or you have done nothing and suddenly your volume is messing up?

I always run with Sound Check enabled and I never experienced anything like that.
