I've been trying to solve AirDrop not working problem between my 2015 MBP Retina with my iPhone 6s and iPad Pro.
Short of restore from fresh, not sure what else to try. Handoff works between devices, connection to BT speakers works from the MBP.

What other things that you've tried that has helped solving AirDrop not working problem?
I made a diagram of things that I've tried, and where the connection stops.

I'm stumped. It seems people either have problems with air drop, or it works flawlessly. You seem to have hit the magic combination to get both.

Are you able to air drop from one Mac to the other?

And totally off topic, what all did you use for your diagram?

Yeah I'm stumped too. I pulled out an older 2012 MBP that's running 10.11.4. My iPhone can AirDrop to that older MBP.
I'm going to just refresh the installation and see if this helps. Not sure if it's hardware issue, since handoff and all other Bluetooth functions are working. AirDrop 2015 MBP to 2012 MBP doesn't work, but iPhone can AirDrop to 2012 MBP 10.11.4.

For the diagram, I used ProCreate app in the iPad Pro with the Pencil.
