I'm having some wifi issues so I've decided to use Ethernet. I got the ZMUIPNG hub which (for now) has only 1Gbps ethernet but when I switch to Mac Studio I will be using 10Gbps.
Now, I have one question pls. Does it matter what type of cable I will use? Ie. cat6e, cat7 or cat8? I know that cat8 is the fastest but are there any downsides? I will only be doing about 20+- feet so from the router (which has 10Gbps) so I kinda want to use the best cable so in the future I don't need to replace it.

Is it ok or is there anything I should be aware off? I assume all the cat versions are supported, right?

Thank you in advance for any feedback and/or suggestions

Cat6A is all you need. 7 and 8 aren't real/certified as an official standard via TIA.

Cat5E will actually perform the exact same <100ft.

Thank you so much. I'll look for cat6a then. :)

Would this be good quality, pls?

Flat cables traditionally have thinner wires (30awg) in your linked example. I'd recommend going with a traditional cable with 24awg. Regular Cat 6 is fine.

you mean that the thinner ones are worse? Ok, thats a shame - I actually loved the idea of the flat but its not necessary so I'll look for a round one :)
