i just bought a Philips LCD 32'' 32PF-5320, and i use to conect it to my mbp using a VGA cable (the tv does not have a DVI connector)

and my mac, recognize the lcd tv as a 26'' philips 26PF5320, so i cannot set the maximum resolution of 1366x768

what should i do?
any help?

thanks!

Many LCD televisions will not accept their native resolution, as they weren't designed to be used as monitors. Most will now let you get 1360x768 (VGA has to be a multiple of 8, so there's a 3px gap either side) but Philips are generally not good for doing this, if I remember correctly. I hope you get it sorted, but you might be limited to 1024x768.
