Hey guys,

Since installing Big Sur I've noticed my MbP no longer turns on automatically when opening the lid?

Is this a setting somewhere I need to change?

Thanks

Nope. If it isn't working, you have an issue with the OS itself, or something is conflicting with the OS.

Are you sure it’s not actually auto-booting? There is an issue some of us are experiencing where there is a long delay prior to boot. (In my case, it is always 22 seconds before the boot logo appears whether I boot by opening the lid or by pressing the power button.)

I initially thought my MBP was not auto-booting, but there is just a long delay. It still hasn’t been fixed in beta 5. I did a clean install, too.

Thanks, I’ll be sure to open it and see if it is just a delay.
I have updated to the latest beta which may have sorted this. I’ll be sure to update this thread

The delay affects Macs with a T2. It's not fixed in the latest beta for me.
