I've attached a picture of coconutBattery . I've tried reseting my MBPs PMU, and calibrating the battery, but after I unplug the AC adapter the computer falls asleep within minutes. The battery is in good physical condition, and was one of the replacement ones from apples recall, so its not too old.

Any ideas, or am I going to have to go shell out some money for a new battery?

Contact them again. I remember that they increased the default AppleCare for all MacBook and (I think) MacBook Pro batteries about 6 months ago. Instead of the battery being covered under a 1 year warranty, it is now a 3 year warranty. Take the MacBook Pro into a store and see if they can help you out there, they should be able to.

Same thing happened to my replacement battery after the recall. Turns out the replacement was duff. Since my MBP is 20 months old it would be way outside the normal warranty but the extended battery cover still applies. Only trouble I had was the local Mac dealer said that Apple wouldn't replace the battery without them sending mine over to Australia first so I would have been left without a battery for a week or so. I ended up buying another battery so I now have two but I couldn't afford to be without a battery since I use my machine for my consulting work. Oh well, handy to have two batteries.

Thanks for the help, I didn't know they extended the warranty on the MBP batteries! There is an apple store about 20 minutes from here, so I guess I have an excuse to go visit them again :). Luckily I have access to another battery for a few weeks.

I'll post back if anything happens other then apple getting me a new battery.
