I recently installed windows xp via boot camp on my 2.4ghz SR MBP..but when I chek system info I get something like :
T7700 @2.4Ghz
790Mz

is that ok??...doesn't it means that my system is at 790mnz??

I think the bold makes it clear. :rolleyes:
The underlines: SR runs around 800MHz so it is telling you it is running at 790MHz.
 
Its called speedstep. Its an intel laptop technology that downclocks your processor when you're not using it to save battery life. If it needs the processor speed, it will use it.
 
well that's ok...but the ther day I saw my girlfriends core 2 duo non-SR 2.0ghz macbook running at 6ghz...how is that posible?
