Got my MBP c2d about a week ago. Its a standard edition, with 1 gb ram and 128 mb vram. Ill do play alot of World of Warcraft, but I have got som problems that really anoys me. It freezes sometimes. Pretty often.
Sometimes it just freezes, and I get that error message, like a grey/black box, with the error message typed in about 5 diffrent languages. Then I have to hold down the power button to restart the computer. If I launch wow again after the reboot it will happen again, after just some seconds/minutes.
My first idea was that the computer runned to hot, thou the problems often comes after some houers of playing. I tried som diffrent things, like play on diffrent surfaces -like an ordniar desk, in my bed, kitchen table etc. No diffrence. Experimented and played with the power cord plugged in, without the battery attached, with the battery attached, only running on the battery-power, -no diffrence. I downloaded fancontrol, did so the fans runs "more often", and on a higher RPM also at lower temp. No diffrence.
The intresting part is that the temp of the comuter is only about 60 degrece celcius after I boot it up after a freeze. So maybe its not the heat that causes the problem? But after i got an error message / freeze, and I wait like 15-20 min before I reboot, I can run the game again for about an hour, before the freezes again. Any one got some idea whats going on?
Now i have to play like important raids and instances on my PC agan, just so I wont make my party angry becouse I disconnect...
