MBP C2D headphone/audio problem

Only problem I've had with my new MBP C2D is that when I have headphones on and nothing playing, there is this really annoying & repeating 'Pfft' noise. Anyone else have this?

If I have headphones plugged in and a short noise plays (like volume feedback or sending an instant message) I hear a "tick" noise one time right after the sound. Are you talking about this?

yeah, what is that? I think it's an IM thing, because I have iChat open. It's not a big deal, but it's a little annoying when you pause your music for a few seconds or w/e.

Yeah I get that too... Nothing serious, but yes it can be annoying.

I get a strange sound coming out of my MBP's speakers when a jack is plugged in the line out, and a disc is spinning in the optical drive. Nothing major, but in a £1700 machine, stupid things like this really piss me off.
