MBP Case Revision

Is it possible that we'll see the MBP Merom update in a couple weeks then a case redesign at Paris? I wouldn't want to buy it after a processor update and see that the case has been redesigned a few weeks later.

We won't see Apple release the C2D MBP in the next couple weeks, then redesign the case at Paris. It is going to happen at once. If a case revision is coming, expect it to happen at Paris. If not, it could happen in the next week or so.

I think the case revision seems less likely to happen soon, now that the macpro kept the existing G5 enclosure, altho, I'm sure at some point either one of them will be first into the new enclosures. Just seemed likely pre-wwdc that they could happen simultaneously.

My guess is the May 2007 Even NAB we might see a case redisgn but most likely it will just be more of a refined case and not redisgned, but first focus was to get intel up and running in everything. I doubt apple will just suddenly switch gears and bring a whole new case.

Yeah the redesigned case could be on the cards for when the Santa Rosa (higher bus speeds) chipset comes for the Core 2 (NAB could be likely).

The Santa Rosa chipset could be lower power (I'm not sure though), might allow a thinner design while still being cooler? That would allow Ive to come up with a nice design then.
