It's quite hot today and I only have the fan above on. However, my CD MBP is making a rather loud noise and is quite hot. Is there anything I can do? Do you think turning on the airconditioner would make it happy or has nothing to do with it?

Yes, it sounds like a faulty fan especially if it is very hot when it is making the noise.
My first MBP had a lot of fan noise issues. It made crunching sounds as if something were loose inside it.Apple gave me another one as soon as I took it in to an apple store and let the Genius take a look at it.
For the record, my new one is very quiet.
