Hi all,

I've been using my M3 Max MBP in clamshell mode for almost a year now, it always worked plugged and unplugged but today, for some reason, I removed the charger to loan to someone and the monitor turned off. I grabbed the laptop opened it up and monitor came alive normally, if I close the laptop it goes again, essentially as if it's force sleeping. I've never seen this issue before, also been using Al Dente since that time.

Any ideas?!

Thanks!

Current behavior is as expected. Clamshell mode requires:
  1. External display
  2. External keyboard
  3. External mouse or trackpad
  4. Power
Why had it been working differently before? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s “fixed” now.
