I dont understand, I have two slots for ram in the this, yet I can only throw in 2x1gb sticks??

What is holding this thing back from 2x2gb sticks....firmware?

I never really thought I would see the day id need 4gb of ram in my computer, but ive been doing a lot of complex work in photoshop, illustrator and indesign for school.

Im afriad to even put CS3 on since it "requires" 3gb of ram

The maximum you could address would be 3.3GB if you put in 2x2GB chips, which really would be a waste considering the cost. The best option would be to just got with 3GB and not match the RAM, if you have 3GB RAM you wont notice the lost performance from matching pairs anyway.
