Hi All,
I have one of the new (Jan 2007) MBPs. Recently it has started having problems rendering some images. It looks like the colour depth is set to 32k colours - gradiented photos etc are grainy etc.

In the display it's set to 1680x1050 with Millions of colours.

Anyone had the same problem? How do you fix it?

Cheers...

Do some searching on the forum and you will find many answers to your question or concerns. And also there is a classaction lawsuit against apple concerning their display.

Are you using an external monitor for your resolution, 1680x1050?

No, that's the default resolution of a 17" MBP. Can you point me at one of the threads you mention?

It looks more like a driver issue than a hardware problem. Is there a way of checking in the config files rather than the desktop?

Cheers...

Tom
