OK, I'm continuing my decision on buying a VAIO or MBP. The main use is going to be for capturing, cutting and burning HDV movies with very little editing or effects.

I recently learned that one advantge of the Play Station 3 that I own is that it can play raw HDV files from data DVDs.

I am not that knowledgable on DVD formats. Does anyone know if the MBP can create a data dvd with raw HDV files that can be read by my PS3?

Well I'm not sure if this is either a stumper of a question or just not interesting.

I do know that a PC can make a data dvd with raw hdv files that the ps3 can read. I think this is really a cross-compatibility issue. Any thoughts?
