Recently, my mum bought a 50" Samsung Q9 Plasma TV and I was eager to bring my MBP to her house to test it (will get one in future if everything works the way I want). However I've found that the auto-detection from OSX does not exactly match the resolution from the Samsung TV.
OSX believes the native resolution of the TV is 1360 x 760 (or something similar) while the actualy resolution of the TV is 1366 x 768. Although only off by a little bit, theres a bit of flashing extra spaces of colored lines on the bottom edge and the right edge, which is very annoying when watching movies etc. Setting the resolution of the TV to anything else works fine without those annoying extra lines/spaces (like 1024 x 768 or 1920 x 1024), however does not look as good.
Anyone got a way to fix this? Something to tweak the resolution a bit manually, thanks.
