MBP Fan Noise 10.4.6

Hi All,

I am on my friends MBP, the computer's fan is constantly on. He hasn't updated to 10.4.8 yet (still on .6). Would updating to .8 change anything substantial - especially the fan noise/it always being on...

Oh. I should also state, it's not a whine. It's just the fan being loud.

There is nothing wrong with the fan being loud. would you rather it be 700 degrees?

But be very careful. If it idles at higher than 45ºC, then the fans need to run faster than 1000rpm
