OSX does a great job of managing the fans in a MBP. They kick in rarely, and when they do they're efficient, even under strain.
However, when under Bootcamp, the fans can really kick in at full speed when rendering a 3D model with intensive lighting (on the low end, a 15min render).
I realize the fans are there for a purpose, however, when on the XP side of things, and the fans kick in to high gear, is this stressing the fans more than they should be? As in, will they start produce more noise sooner due to more high end use?
Its just painful to hear them kick in to high gear like that
[but i need my renderings and i have to endure the noise and think about the possible pain i'm causing them].
Any thoughts?
