Hey, I've had my MBP for a month now and love it. But it gets so dirty easily. Fingerprints everywhere. What would be the best way, or the best product to use, for cleaning it?

My machine's about 6 months old, and has been completely babied its whole life (it's pretty much perfect condition. Barring this little bit of warpage, I reckon I'd be able to describe it 'like new' on eBay!)

Methanol is corosive to aluminum by attacking the normal layer of oxidation that protects aluminum. I don't know exactley what alloy the MBP is made of but I would not chance it.
Not to mention, methanol is highly flamable and toxic. I would say, in general, it is not a good idea to have methanol in your home.

People please don't use any chemicals on these expensive laptops. You need to use an LCD SAFE cleaner like Klear Screen or iKlear period. Half the cost of the laptop is the $creen!!!

ChickenSwartz said:OK we agree on that. But I think ethanol or isopropanol would be better choices.
