Hi, i just bought my macbook pro 2 months ago and everything has been going well with it. No sign of problems typical to the machine that i have read on this forums before.
Just a few days ago I installed the 10.4.8 update and noticed that CoreDuoTemp is always showing that it is running full processor, even when idle. Today I am noticing that the fans are constantly running and when I am loading a program or web site the left side of the computer (i'm assuming this is the hard drive) makes somewhat of a grinding sound.
Now I have heard this sound on PCs I've used it the past and have gotten use to it, but I have noticed that the MBP has been completly silent up untill now. And I also googled the hard drive sound and got a few results that the drive might be failing?? I haven't dropped it at all, and I ran disk utility to result the need for minor repair on the hdd surface. I did that but i still have the same problems.
Anyone? or am I making something out of nothing? What do others expierence with their fans and cpu after the update?
thanks,
John
