Right now I have a MBP with an SSD drive in the main HD slot and a 640GB HD in an Optibay for storage.

I want to get an iMac, and put my SSD drive in via Optibay and keep the 1TB in for storage.

Will the SSD work if I just drop it into the iMac?
Assuming it doesn't because of the different hardware, what's my best approach?

I also have a Boot Camp partition that I need to transfer over. Should I be using Migration Assistant and Winclone? Or Carbon Copy Cloner and Winclone?

Would this be my best approach:
1. Format 1TB drive.
2. Transfer files from 640GB drive to 1TB drive. Format 640GB drive.
3. Clone SSD drive onto 640GB drive. Format SSD.
4. Clone 640GB back onto SSD. Format 640GB.
