Hi Folks,

Just booted up my CD 2.00 ghz Macbook Pro. No recent updates, running 10.5.1, and having booted up trackpad and keyboard are just not responding in any way. Have reset P-RAM, still no joy. I am in the middle of preparing an important presentation, so need my puter! Any thoughts folks? Any fixes???

Any thoughts massively appreciated! This couldnt have happened at a worse time!!!!

Cheers,

Mooey

Ouch.

Have you tested an external keyboard or mouse? Have you checked the usb tree in system profiler? Have you enabled Screen Sharing or Remote Login?

Hi,

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it!

IM writing this on a USB mouse and keyboard attached to a USB hub in my right USB port. Other USB port is taken with my mobile broadband modem.

USB Tree in profiler is showing:

USB high speed bus: hub and external mouse and keyboard
Built in iSight
USB Bus: Mobile Broadband mobile
USB BUs: Empty (AppleUSBUHCI), built in USB
USB Bus: Bluetooth USB host controller
USB Bus: IR receiver

Any thoughts? THanks for your input: appreciated!

i had this issue
an external kayboard and mouse will work fine
but in order to get the built in keyboard and trackpad to work, they need to be replaced
about 3-4 days repair...
sorry  it sucks
